Deans: Willie, Margo, Lee & Jamie

This family business started over a decade ago which now sees Lee (General Manager) and Jamie (Head Chef) take over at the helm from 2017.

The husband and wife team of Margo and Willie, started their very first business venture in 2005. Deans Restaurant was born. With the vast wealth of experience in the industry and the multitude of awards won by Willie they decided the timing was right to open their very own Restaurant. As the next generation comes through, it is exciting times ahead for the business as Lee and Jamie strive to improve the food, service, ambience and experience offered in what is already regarded as Perth's premium dining venue. 

Jamie: Our new Head Chef. At a young age he has gained a great pedigree of experience already. Having worked at 5 Star Gleneagles Hotel in their Main restaurant and Michelin starred Restaurant Andrew Fairlie, Jamie is back at Deans and ready to put his own stamp on things. Both traditional and contemporary cooking methods have been gained from his journeys and an abundance of knowledge, it is now time to push the restaurant to new heights. 

Lee: Having managed the business for the past 6 years, Lee has always put the customer experience as the priority. His aim is to provide a fun, relaxed environment, where you can enjoy great food, great wine and great company. The ability to offer the customer the complete experience with friends and family. 

Willie: Has a love for food, which is demonstrated in every single dish sent to the customers. His drive for perfection and individuality makes him a trend setter for food in Perthshire. As a previous AA Scottish Restaurant of the Year and Scottish Chef of the Year Winner his aim is to provide these World class talents and flavours to the masses, by offering a more reasonable price point.

Willie Deans trained with the National Health Service for 5 years before moving on to The Irvine Hospitality Inn and then as Head Chef at Highgrove House Hotel in Troon. When his family came along he decided to work more stable hours and lectured in Glasgow for 7 years. At this time he was never out of the lime light as he competed all over the world with The Scottish Culinary Team. In these years he attained Olympic Gold and other medals for his country in the Culinary Olympics. Willie has been the Head Chef in some of the most prestigious establishments in Scotland; Turnberry Hotel, Lochgreen House in Troon, Auchterarder House Hotel and The Buttery in Glasgow. In these first class establishments Willie perfected his talent before embarking into his very own restaurant. 

Margo: New to the industry, Margo certainly dived in at the deep end to support Willie's dream of owning his own restaurant. She has welcomed thousands into Deans with her"Magnanimous" personality. Still supporting Lee in the day to day running of the business, she enjoys spending more time away from the business as well now looking after her 1st Grandson at every opportunity.
